T5 SPACESHIP

Nicknamed "The Spaceship," this 85 sqm pop-up launched at Heathrow T5 for two months during the Christmas season of Nº5’s centenary year in 2021.

The space featured celestial-themed testing areas, with portal-style entrances and lightboxes adorned with ‘floating’ gift boxes.

Outside the main area, a modernized Christmas tree showcased illuminated orbiting rings and trunks that offered a lucky dip game for customers. Though The Spaceship was located airside in T5, it was prominently supported by digital screens throughout the terminal, directing travelers to the pop-up.

Designing for Travel Retail presents unique challenges, particularly with the increasing scale of airport pop-ups. I ensured that all materials used complied with stringent fire safety regulations while preserving the enchanting aesthetic of the space.
